1. Asus Taichi Dual-Screen Ultrabooks


Asus Taichi is one of the most interesting and coolest tablet showcased at Computex 2012. The Taichi sports two screens; both LED backlit and IPS panel with Full HD resolution. The one which is on the cover is a touchscreen which act as a tablet when closed and when the lid is open the outer touchscreen display will switch off and the device transforms into a standard notebooks.


The company claims that you can use both the screens as they share the same hardware. The device is powered with Intel third generation Ivy Bridge CPU, has SSD for storage and comes with 11.6 inch and 13.3 inch screens size models.
2. Acer Aspire S5


Acer introduced its Aspire S5 ultrabook with Acer Green Instant On technology for fast boot and resume along with Acer Always Connect which helps to manage multimedia and data anytime, at Computex 2012. It measures only 15mm and weighs less than 1.35 kilogram.


It features 13-inch LED Backlit display, is powered by Intel Ivy Bridge Processor, 8 GB of RAM, SSD for storage and comes with Windows 7 operating system. For connectivity it supports the faster data transfer speeds with thunderbolt, two USB 2.0 ports, USB 3.0, HDMI, audio and mic ports, web cam, integrated gigabit LAN and Bluetooth v3.0. Along with these specifications Acer Aspire S5 has Dolby home theater audio for a real entertainment experience.


3. Genius Ring Presenter


Genius showed its new product called the Ring Presenter, a wireless ring style touch cursor controller with a built-in laser pointer. The device fits onto the finger (like a ring) and has control pad which allows controlling the cursor as we always do with normal mouse. The ring that fits around the finger is made of flexible rubber for a good grip and can fit into any finger size.








4. Acer Aspire S7


One day before the official start of Computex-2012, Acer announced S7 series of Windows 8 Ultrabooks with 11.6 inch and 13.3 inch touchscreen. The device has an impressive looks and comes with sleek aluminum metallic unibody design. It has some interesting features like Twin Air Cooling System, Light-Sensing keyboard.  The hardware specification, price and availability in the Indian market are not yet disclosed.


 


5. Samsung Series 5 Ultra Convertible


Samsung showed off its upcoming Series 5 Convertible ultrabook at Computex 2012 which made us remember the CES 2012 show where Lenovo revealed its IdeaPad Yoga which folds back on itself. The ultrabook body is brushed aluminum which look extremely shiny and attractive.


This ultrabook looks similar to the regular Series 5 ultrabook but features 13.3 inch touchscreen that can fold back. It is powered with 1.7 GHz low voltage third generation Core i7 processor, 4Gb of RAM and has a 500 GB hard drive. For connectivity it comes with two USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, HDMI port, mini VGA port, headset jack, memory card reader and Ethernet port.

6. Asus ROG Tytan Gaming Desktop PC


Asus showcased ROG (Republic Of Gamers) Tytan, a monstrous gaming desktop PC. With a single touch of button the side doors of the CPU opens revealing more cooling fans. The Asus ROG Tytan CG8890 comes with 4.2 GHz Intel Core i7-3960X processor, 16 GB DDR3-2133 MHz of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 and has integrated liquid cooling system.


 




7. Gigabyte X11


The company claims that the Gigabyte X11 is the world’s fastest and lightest notebook weighing just 975 grams. The laptop is made using carbon fiber which is light and extremely strong. The notebook is powered with third generation Intel Core processor, runs on Windows 7 Home Premium. It comes with has 11.5 inch LED backlight display, 128 GB SSD storage and for connectivity it has USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. The device also comes with Intel Rapid Start Technology and Intel Anti-Theft Technology.



8. Asus Tablet 600


Asus Tablet 600 is the first and official ARM powered tablet with Windows 8 RT inside. The device sports 10-inch display and a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 graphic processor unit. It features 8 MP camera at the back with LED flash, 2 MP front facing camera for video calls and chats, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB storage and for connectivity it comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.


 



9. MSI Slider S20


Just like Asus EeePad Slider, the MSI Slider S20 also transforms itself from a tablet to a notebook. With a slide out keyboard it increases the overall thickness but it’s actually an advantage over other tablets as you don’t need to carry your keyboard along. The tablet is powered with Intel Ivy Bride processor, runs Windows 8 operating system and sports 11.6 inch display. There are no other detail specifications available right now.






10. Samsung Series 7 All-in-One


Samsung showed a new Series 7 All-in-One PC which features 27-inch touchscreen with 2560x1140 pixel resolution, full 10 point multi touch support and runs on Windows 8 operating system. Samsung has not disclosed its specifications as it is still in development stage. In addition to this, the PC also features voice recognition and hand gesture controls.


 




11. Asus Transformer AiO


Asus Transformer AiO (All-in-One) is a ‘part tablet, part All-in-One PC’ which can switch between both. The device features dual operating system (option to switch between Windows 8 and Android) depending upon the users need with just a touch of a button.


The device comes with huge 18.4-inch multi-touch LED backlit touchscreen display which can be removed from the base station converting it as a tablet (base station is used to convert it as All-in-One PC).


12. ViewSonic 22-inch Android Smart Display


ViewSonic unveiled a 22-inch Android tablet on the first day of Computex 2012. The tablet is named as ViewSonic VCD22 and arguably it is world’s first 22-inch tablet that runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.


The device is powered with 1 GHz TI OMAP 4428 CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 1.2 MP front facing camera for video chats and calling, 22 inch capacitive display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and packed with plenty of connectivity ports including Ethernet, HDMI, 3.5 mm audio jack and for wireless connectivity it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.


13. Toshiba Satellite U845W Ultrabook


Toshiba Satellite U845W is an ultrawide ultrabook that comes with a wide 14.4 inch 21:9 display with 1792x768 pixels resolution. The device features Intel’s latest third Generation Ivy Bridge processor, 10 GB of RAM, standard 500GB hard drive and also has a 32GB SSD. It is also equipped with USB 3.0 ports, Intel’s WiDi technology and has a metal chassis. It measures just 20.8mm in depth and weighs only 1.57kg.






14. ViewSonic VP3280-LED


ViewSonic showed an interesting monitor at Computex this year. The monitor features 31.5 inch LED backlit display with 3840x2160 pixels of resolution. This huge resolution means an impressive 8.8 million pixels with a density of 150 pixels per inch which produces amazing crisp display. 


 






15. NEC LaVie Z Ultrabook


Japanese PC maker NEC showcased its ultrabook called LaVie Z at Computex 2012. The company has not disclosed detail specifications of this ultrabook but it seems to use the dual core Intel Ivy Bridge processor and is scheduled to enter the Japan market later this month. The device is made using lithium magnesium alloy, sports 13.3-inch display and weighs only 999 grams which is even lighter than regular 10-inch netbook.
