Sony launches Android based SmartWatch 2 with NFC facility

Sony has officially launched the much awaited SmartWatch 2 in the markets. This latest SmartWatch variant is a wearable watch that has been powered by Android operating system and comes with the remote functionality which was there in the earlier version as well.

Sony SmartWatch 2 can be used to see who is calling the user and through a wireless Bluetooth headset, users can also take the call. One can also browse through the call log to make a call. This device sports a 1.6 inch touchscreen display with 220×176 pixel count and has
been made using aluminium. This is a water and dust resistant device on which users can also read SMSs, emails, Facebook and Twitter and also check the calendar. On receiving a notification, users just need to tap on the icon to read on the SmartWatch 2’s screen.
Sony SmartWatch 2 supports Bluetooth 3.0 and also NFC connectivity option. It can run for a period of 4 days if used moderately and with minimal use, it can even go on for up to 7 days. The price of this wearable device from Sony hasn’t yet been revealed but it shall become available sometime in September this year.
